Choir Festival: March 6th at CSU, Chico

Our next performance is right around the corner.  We will be performing at the California Music Educators’ Association – North Section (CMEA-NS) Region III Choral Music Festival.  These festivals invite school choirs from all around the region to come to one venue, perform, and get evaluated by professional judges.  This is an important performance for us as it is the only time all year that we will receive scores for our performance.  This a great opportunity for the choir to perform, get critiqued, and improve.  In addition, we will also get to listen to some of the other choirs from around the area.

Music festival will be held on the CSU, Chico campus on March 6th.  Below is the schedule of the day for our students.

  • Come to school as normal.

  • 8:45 AM Check in at the music room before loading chaperone cars.  Drive to CSU, Chico.

  • School issued black performance polo shirt

  • Black dress pants/slacks

  • The nicest pair of black shoes you have.

  • Black socks, if it is appropriate to wear socks with your choice of shoes.

  • Black undershirt when appropriate.

The performances throughout the day are free and open to the public for anyone to attend.  I hope you all have a chance to see us perform.  If you are available to drive students from Bidwell to Chico State please contact me via e-mail ASAP as we will need several drivers.  If you are planning to drive, please make sure to turn in the appropriate paperwork in the school office if you have not already done so.  You will need a copy of your liability insurance when you submit this paperwork.
